Together we can once again shape Carlsbad’s future.
I grew up in Carlsbad. Today, as I raise my own family here, I see developers and outside investors reshaping our Village, destroying its character, and impacting us all. New state laws have taken local land use decisions away from us. As your city council member, I will fight Sacramento and pursue every tool available to regain local control. I also pledge to preserve our natural and historic places before they are lost forever, and be a compassionate voice for the underserved members of our community.
A little about me…
Carlsbad is where I was born and raised. My Marrón and Pico ancestors raised cattle here in the 1800’s. My Frazee ancestors painted the hills with colorful ranunculus flowers. Carlsbad is where I learned to ride a bike, ride a wave, be a teammate, and be a leader. Where teachers, coaches, local business owners, and civic leaders worked together to shape Carlsbad into the town we love.
Their example guides me as leader of the ‘Save the Carlsbad Theatre’ movement, in my work on the Barrio Public Art Subcommittee, as an educator in our Carlsbad public schools, and as director and producer of local youth theater.
